Réunion, governed as a French overseas department is politically stable and has solid regulatory environment. Réunion’s economy is marked by high unemployment and dependency on imports, with France being a major economic support. The island has a dense, urbanised population, however, encounters issues of integration, exacerbated by economic disparities. Réunion is among the regional leaders in internet usage yet is highly reliant on external technology and expertise.
