The third edition of ReThink HK returns to the city on 05 – 06 October this year at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to convene a two-day expo and gather
business leaders, sustainability practitioners, and like-minded delegates to explore sustainable developments and solutions from a Hong Kong context.

As Hong Kong's best attended and most ambitious business event for sustainable development, ReThink HK will continue its mission to facilitate transformation and accelerate change towards a more sustainable environment, society, and economy through a series of content- and innovation-led events.

Session title: Growing Appetites: Investing in Plant-Based Innovations and Alternative Proteins

Session description: According to a report by EY released in April 2021, “alternative proteins will promise substantial disruption to the conventional animal meat market”, with a sufficient drive from factors like technological advancement, price parity, and consumer demand. Hong Kong is no doubt a microcosm of the plant-based ecosystem which is blooming globally. How people embrace plant-based foods in their daily lives, and how various brands are investing and innovating to promote the green diet, have become the once-in-lifetime case studies of this era.

Sustainability Claims Unpacked: Regenerative Agriculture

31 Jul 25

Regenerative agriculture keeps growing among FMCG companies as a powerful sustainability strategy, particularly in food categories. Unlike conventional farming, it restores soil health, captures carbon, and strengthens ecosystems, addressing climate change and food security challenges. With 60% of global corporates planning sustainable sourcing investments in the next five years, this approach offers ethical benefits and strategic advantages – healthier ingredients, resilient supply chains, and reduced carbon footprints. The pressing question remains: are these efforts effectively connecting with consumers and driving real impact?
