Entry of new international brands, such as Victoria's Secret and Decathlon, should increase competition Argentina's apparel and footwear sales experienced a 9% decline in retail volume sales in 2025, due to the country's challenging economic situation, characterised by high inflation and recession. Despite this, certain categories, such as sportswear, were expected to record growth, driven by consumer preferences for comfortable and informal clothing. The entry of new international brands, such as Victoria's Secret and Decathlon, is anticipated to increase competition and drive growth in apparel and footwear over the next five years, with retail sales forecast to increase at a current value CAGR of 15% to ARS39 trillion by 2030. To succeed, brands should focus on promotional activities, digital marketing and adapting to changing consumer preferences.
