PROSPECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Wide range of discounted footwear available in the United Arab Emirates

The market is also saturated with inexpensive Chinese-made shoes, particularly in places such as Dragon Mart.
AI-enhanced e-commerce set to boost sales of footwear
In the United Arab Emirates, the adoption of AI in retail has so far been relatively slow, but it is expected to gain momentum in the short term as retailers start to understand its potential. In footwear, AI can play a crucial role in providing customers with personalised recommendations for the correct shoe size and style that suits their foot shape, potentially eliminating the need for in-store try-ons.
Children’s footwear to lead value growth, driven by designer collections
In the United Arab Emirates, the arrival of high net worth individuals (HNWIs) has significantly boosted the luxury segment within apparel and footwear. Although some residents may be reducing their spending, a considerable influx of wealthy newcomers — many coming from countries grappling with hyperinflation or political instability —continues to stimulate demand.
