COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE
adidas Group maintains its lead in footwear through a multi-channel strategy
The Egyptian footwear market is fragmented, with adidas group leading the market in 2025 with a 3% share, followed by Allied Trading & Consultancy then Ra Sport Co, with shares of 2% and 1% respectively. The presence of multiple players with relatively small market shares suggests a highly competitive, fragmented landscape.
Local footwear brands gain momentum as culturally inspired designs resonate with Eyptian consumers
The footwear market in Egypt saw the emergence of new local brands in 2025, including Zonta, which launched an Arabic sneaker collection. Zonta gained significant attention after securing a deal on Shark Tank Egypt; a business reality television series in which entrepreneurs present their startups or products to a panel of five high-profile investors, seeking funding and mentorship in exchange for equity.
