PROSPECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Economic diversification and rising female empowerment will fuel demand for footwear
The Vision 2030 initiative is poised to significantly impact the footwear market in Saudi Arabia as the country embraces a more diversified and modernised economy. A key driver of this growth is the increasing participation of women in the workforce, particularly as they take on more senior roles across sectors like education, business, and politics.
Increased number of collaborations and other initiatives
Collaborations, sponsorships, and strategic initiatives are expected to expand over the forecast period, further driving the growth of footwear brands. Many brands are forging partnerships with local talent, launching region-specific collections, sponsoring major events and festivals and participating in initiatives that support the objectives of Vision 2030.
Sustainability will be key trend in footwear
Sustainable footwear is gaining traction in Saudi Arabia as consumers increasingly prioritise environmental responsibility in their purchasing decisions. Local and international brands are responding by introducing shoes made from eco-friendly materials such as recycled plastics, organic cotton, and plant-based leathers, in a bid to r-minimise waste and reduce their carbon footprints.
