RTDs is projected to see strong and steady growth in total volume terms over the forecast period. Polish consumers are expected to increasingly seek convenient options, with RTDs also offering a wide variety of flavours as well as being easy to consume.
Wine-based RTDs is projected to grow at a slower rate than spirit-based RTDs over the forecast period. Sangria will likely remain a steady player in this category but it is unlikely to see significant growth due to its maturity and seasonal nature, with consumers typically only consuming sangria during the warmer summer months.
Consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious and are gravitating toward beverages with a lower sugar, alcohol, and calorie content. This trend is expected to fuel a surge in the development of RTDs featuring natural ingredients such as fruits, herbs, and sparkling water.

RTDs
RTD stands for ‘ready-to-drink’. Other terms which may be used for these products are FABs, alcopops and premixes. The RTDs sector is the aggregation of malt-, wine-, spirit- and other types of premixed drinks. These drinks usually have an alcohol content of around 5% but this can reach as high as 10% ABV. Premixes containing a high percentage of alcohol of around 15%+ combined with juice or any other soft drink are included here. RTDs are usually marketed as products to be drunk neat, with ice, or as a cocktail ingredient. Fruit-flavoured, vodka-based spirits with an alcohol content of between 16-21% are classified here. Examples: Alizé, Ursus Roter, Berentzen Fruchtige, Kleiner Feigling.
