Over the forecast period, RTDs is expected to register moderate volume growth due to its emergent status. Currently represented by only local player, Bacchus AO, the category is gaining momentum with recent launches like Lab.
While domestic products lead RTDs in Kazakhstan, there is increasing opportunity for imported RTDs to enter and expand the category, but not in the immediate future. Bacchus is expected to remain the leading company due to its established market presence, wide range of flavours, and strong consumer recognition.
Innovation will remain a key driver of growth in Kazakhstan’s RTD market over the forecast period, building on the proven success of recent product launches. New developments - such as the premium Bellini in glass bottles and the Gin Tonic Lite range in convenient cans by Bacchus - have been well received, demonstrating consumer appetite for diverse and creative offerings.

RTDs
RTD stands for ‘ready-to-drink’. Other terms which may be used for these products are FABs, alcopops and premixes. The RTDs sector is the aggregation of malt-, wine-, spirit- and other types of premixed drinks. These drinks usually have an alcohol content of around 5% but this can reach as high as 10% ABV. Premixes containing a high percentage of alcohol of around 15%+ combined with juice or any other soft drink are included here. RTDs are usually marketed as products to be drunk neat, with ice, or as a cocktail ingredient. Fruit-flavoured, vodka-based spirits with an alcohol content of between 16-21% are classified here. Examples: Alizé, Ursus Roter, Berentzen Fruchtige, Kleiner Feigling.
