Growing awareness of personal hygiene and grooming will continue to drive growth of fragrances across the forecast period. As consumers prioritise self-care, demand for diverse scent options is expected to rise, supported by increased availability through local production and imports.
The growing influence of social media and digital culture has and is reshaping consumer behaviour in Cameroon. Particularly in the premium fragrances market, influencers are playing a notable role in driving consumer interest towards high-end premium brands like Boss, Channel, Tom Ford, and YSL, making these names aspirational brands for many Cameroonians.
Personalisation is poised to be a major trend across the forecast period, and local players will lead the charge on this. To stand out from the plethora of imported options available on the market, local players are turning to local ingredients familiar to the Cameroonian public, like the Penja pepper, lemons, and cloves.

Fragrances
This is the aggregation of men's, women's and unisex mass and premium fragrances as well as fragrances sets/kits and body mists. The distinction between mass market and premium is normally price and label/positioning (mass fragrances rarely carry a designer label) and distribution. Also includes hair fragrances with a primary function of making hair smell good and not to be confused with hair oil and other styling/conditioning products with hair fragrances, whose primary function is to either condition or style over fragrance.
