PROSPECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Growth is expected to be aided by a movement towards affordable pack sizes
Beer sales are projected to record volume growth over the forecast period, contingent on macroeconomic indicators supporting an improved economic environment. However, given the ongoing economic instability in the country, growth is expected to remain modest and characterised by a distinct consumer shift towards more affordable packaging formats.
Non alcoholic beer will grow steadily, widening the consumer base while creating new consumption occasions
Non alcoholic beer will be the most dynamic category over the forecast period, with volume sales rising. The pursuit of a healthier lifestyle amongst consumers is expected to continue, and drinks perceived by consumers to be healthier are likely to be in high demand.
Premiumisation will rebound thanks to a better economic scenario, and the easing of import restrictions
Aligned to the improved economic scenario projected for 2025-2026, premiumisation is expected to rise, with consumers reaching for high-quality taste while exploring new consumption occasions. The success of craft beers in Argentina will drive ongoing growth, with consumers drawn to the huge variety and flavours of beers, many of which were previously unseen in Argentina.

Beer
An alcoholic drink usually brewed from malt, sugar, hops and water and fermented with yeast. Some beers are made by fermenting a cereal, especially barley, and therefore not flavoured by hops. Alcohol content for beer is varied – anything up to and over 14% ABV (alcohol by volume), although 3.5% to 5% is most common. Beer is the aggregation of lager, dark beer, stout and non/low alcohol beer.
