COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE
Nestlé Nigeria is the leading company in 2025 in bottled water
Nestlé Nigeria Plc remained the leading individual company in the bottled water category in 2025, although the market as a whole is highly fragmented, with hundreds of small bottled and sachet water brands competing for share. Its Nestlé Pure Life brand is one of the most recognisable and trusted premium water labels in the country, particularly among middle- and upper-income consumers who are willing to pay more for perceived quality, safety, and international brand heritage.
Seven-Up Bottling Co is the most dynamic company overall in 2025
Seven-Up Bottling Co Ltd emerged as one of the most dynamic players in bottled water in 2025, primarily through the strong performance of its Aquafina brand. Positioned as an affordable yet good-quality bottled water, Aquafina has successfully carved out a space between lower-priced, unbranded or regional offerings and more expensive premium imports, appealing to a broad base of consumers who seek reliability without paying top-tier prices.
