PROSPECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Sustained growth in off-trade sales, driven by functional and flavoured water
Off-trade sales volumes of bottled water are expected to remain positive over the forecast period, driven by rising demand for functional and flavoured options. Still water, however, is likely to show weaker performance, as Danes increasingly prefer refillable water bottles for environmental reasons, reducing reliance on single-use bottled water.
Accelerated growth and price competition in functional bottled water
Functional bottled water is anticipated to achieve the strongest growth rates within the bottled water market over the forecast period. As more brands enter this competitive space, price pressures are expected to increase, resulting in a wider range of products at varying price points.
Opportunities in flavoured bottled water as a healthier on-the-go option
Flavoured bottled water, both still and sparkling, presents promising opportunities for growth as Danish consumers seek healthier on-the-go drink options with appealing flavours. Products such as NODA are well-positioned to capture market share from traditional carbonates and single-portion beverages, thanks to their innovative flavours and emphasis on natural ingredients.
