COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE
Private label leads, but Spa Reine strengthens its position
In 2025, the competitive landscape in bottled water remained shaped by the prevalence of private label lines, which offer consumers a compelling combination of low prices and acceptable quality. This is particularly true in the still and flavoured water segments, where private label accounts for a significant share of volume sales and continues to gain ground.
Nestlé suffers from poorer public image in 2025
In contrast, Nestlé’s bottled water brands are losing share. Public concerns over environmental issues and pollution scandals affecting the company have negatively impacted consumer trust and brand performance.
