PROSPECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Prices for juices are expected to rise, boosting sales of affordable options
Over the forecast period, unstable economic conditions will lead to increased costs across key areas of the juice supply chain, including manufacturing, transportation, and logistics. These rising costs will drive manufacturers to raise prices.
New products focus on healthier messaging to drive sales over the forecast period
Many consumers are shifting toward natural, preservative-free juices, with some opting to make their own fresh juice at home. This growing demand for freshness is a key driver of innovation in the juice landscape, as consumers seek out products that align with their health-conscious lifestyles and preference for more natural ingredients.
Slower growth for nectars as consumer shift to cheaper, or more expensive options
As consumers seek cheaper alternatives, awareness over nectars is not expected to rise over the forecast period, as consumers continue to shift towards juice drinks up to 24%. As the higher consumer segment shifts towards fresher alternatives or 100% juices, most Egyptians will show a stronger interest in the cheapest juice options, causing a decline for nectars compared to other juice types.
